Welcome to the BSJA Area 44 Website
We aim to keep you informed of training dates, shows and news of what is happening in the area.
Feel free to email us with your concerns, suggestions, ideas or requests so that we can discuss any issues at the committee meetings and, where necessary, pass any information to the head office at Stoneleigh.
If you have any news items, success stories, or tales to tell from training sessions or shows, we would love to put them in the Newsletter. Drop us a line.
We have a number of training dates arranged through the winter months. There are Area training sessions, open to all ages, as well as Intro sessions, which are open to members and non-members. The new Star Training System for Seniors will be introduced in 2007. Feel free to come and spectate at any session to see what is on offer and perhaps pick up some tips and ideas. Click on Training for more information.
We are very keen to encourage new and potential members, so we often organise special training days through the year. Free Tickets to Ride will be given to potential members. Full details will be posted here.
Junior membership is very important to the Area. To help increase membership and encourage those already affiliated, we have set up The Surrey Junior Academy. It has proved so popular that the idea is being rolled out nationwide. Click on Juniors for more information.
Supporting Young Riders in Surrey (SYRS) has been set up for Area 44 members who are under 21 years old and are riding horses. The aim is to develop young riders by giving them the opportunity to be taught by British Show Jumping Accredited Coaches and help with the transition from ponies to horses. If you are in this age group, please contact Sally Thurloway so she can send you more information about it and answer any of your questions
The Riders League Table has been set up for each Region, with points being won in certain classes throughout the season. We will try to keep you informed as to who is top of the ranking list for the area and region. It might be you!
