Firstly I would personally like to apologise for the lack of communication from your Junior Academy over the last few months. I would like to take full responsibility for that but it is all about to change!!

My superb coordinator Ali is now working in a very high powered job so can no longer find the time to coordinate. However from little acorns grow big trees so we now have a Junior Academy Committee !! This is made up of Rachael Uden, Clare Edwards, Dianna, Dowden and Becky Howells, me, of course overseen by Joanna and Sara.

Now what we do have to do is get this Academy up and running again. We have a new web page just for us which you can link from the area web site, kindly designed and updated by Mark Hawksworth. ( well we could not lose 2 Hawksworth's in one go !) Now this web site is for you the academy members so we need to give him lots of information and pictures to go on it so it can go live. One of our members is looking into starting a forum for you all, we need show results, what you have achieved and who has qualified for what.

Training starts again in October and we are going to hold the training at different venues so it may be more convenient for you to get to where we are.

Lectures will also start again in November and we hope to see you all soon in the future.

I now expect my email box to be full with replies from you telling me what you want both in the lessons and in the lectures !!! You give us the ideas and your committee will try and make it happen.

A major date for the diary is the 2 + 3rd of January where we are having an inter Junior Academy team event at Crofton manor. This will be us jumping against other academy teams in various categories so look out for the schedule. It will be a fantastic 2 days and we have to show the other Academies we are the best in the country !!!

Other dates are;

17th Oct, 22nd Oct, 13th Nov, Lecture on the 20th Nov, 22nd Nov, 4th Dec, 11th Dec.

Don't forget the Area AGM on the 10th December

Please pass this onto anyone you think would like to come along. We can take other area's members if they live on the border and if anyone wants to come along for a taster session who is not a member that will be fine also.

I think I have all the emails but please forward to anyone who you can not see on the lists !!
